I was rummaging through the freezer the other day and I came across a packet of Kippers.
I haven’t had kippers in what seems like forever so I decided to have them for breakfast today.
I forgot just how nice Kippers are nom nom, the the perfect breakfast really.
These were always a favourite breakfast in Victorian times right up until the 1970’s when “fast food” cereals came along.
Mine were the “boil in the bag” so they can also be microwaved which is what I did, pierce the bag, 2 min on high power, take out, shake back cook for a further 2 minutes. Job done
They were really nice, I forgot just how nice Kippers are and I will definitely be buying them again. Not only are they nice but they are good for you as well, High in Omega 3 fatty acids and low in calories.
Kipper are smoked Herring, I like kipper fillets which are smoked Herring with the bones removed.
